Our History

OptoShop is your source for premium quality ocular therapies, including treatment options for dry eye disease, macular degeneration (AMD), and glaucoma. Our company was founded by Dr. Evan Stout, a private practice optometrist who saw a need for a simpler, more accessible way for patients to obtain the therapies he and his fellow optometrists recommend on a daily basis. OptoShop was born to fill that need. At OptoShop, we strive to source the best products with proven clinical efficacy that have been recommended by eye doctors for years. Dr. Stout also offers individual coaching sessions to help you decide which products are right for you, and to help you develop a long term plan for your eye health journey. Whether you suffer from dry eyes, or have been diagnosed with AMD or glaucoma, we are here to help you with the knowledge and solutions cultivated over years of clinical practice. Check out the shop to see the products we have to offer, or visit the coaching tab to book a session with Dr. Stout.

Our Focus

What We Do

Dry Eye Disease

Dry eye disease is a common condition that affects millions of Americans every day. Symptoms like burning, itching, watering, redness and blurred vision are all common. Therapy is aimed at restoring the ocular surface and treating the underlying cause of the condition.

Macular Degeneration

Macular Degeneration (AMD) is one of the leading causes of blindness in America. AMD typically results in loss of central vision. While the damage from AMD is irreversible, certain supplements have been shown to slow the progression of the disease. Early detection and monitoring is key for the prevention of vision loss.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is another common eye disease that can result in irreversible vision loss. This condition is characterized by damage to optic nerve, and is usually associated with elevated intraocular pressure (IOP). IOP control remains the gold standard treatment for glaucoma, however, vitamin supplementation has been growing in the glaucoma treatment arena.
